LED Lighted Fashion Accessories

One of the hottest trends on the club circuit is LED lighted clothing and fashion accessories. Because these lights are cool burning, they are ideal for embellishing everything from hair accessories to handbags, belts and shoes. In fact, there is even a line of LED jewelry that can be found both online as well as in novelty stores in the mall.

Now that the temperatures are getting cooler, faux fur vests, jackets and collars are being worn with LED lights sewn in. There are a great number of online sites that sell Pimp Vests and Pimp Coats that come lighted to complete ‘the look.’ Certain manufacturers also carry a line of lighted canes that blend well with the coats, hats and shoes. Nothing is too outlandish with this new LED lighted craze.

Bridal gowns are also available with dazzling bright white LED lights forming elegant patterns reminiscent of diamonds sparkling in the dress. Since LED lights utilize such a little bit of power, the bride’s gown will stay well lit throughout the entire ceremony and all night as she dances her way through the reception.

There is also a line of children’s shoes that are lit with LED lights, the most famous being LA Gear. Because LED lights are so durable and shock resistant, they can be worn by even the roughest kids on the block without fear of breaking those tiny lamps in the soles or on the heel. LED lights are seen on roller blades, ice skates and even woven in with shoe laces. Big kids, little kids and even infants can all be seen sporting LED lights for footwear.

Skinny Jeans

For the past decade or so, loose baggy jeans were all the rage, but within the past year or so skinny jeans have taken over the fashion world. While there is an actual trademarked brand called Skinny Jeans, the style itself has been picked up by literally every manufacturer of denim pants. They have become a standard general fashion statement.

Skinny jeans for women are designed differently than they are for men. In women’s styles, the tight fitting jeans are meant to accentuate a woman’s curves while downplaying areas that might be, for lack of better words, already overly curvaceous. The intent is to pull the butt up and round it out, while pulling the inner thigh up and back. Skinny jeans have legs that are referred to as ‘scooped.’

However, skinny jeans for men are extremely tight fitting most of the time and don’t intend to alter his physique. Rather, these sexy, tight fitting jeans are meant to emphasize his muscular body in all the right places! Unlike those baggy bottoms that rode well down on the buttocks, skinny jeans for men are worn at normal hip or waist level and will never need a belt to keep them up.

Although there are still diehard baggy advocates roaming the streets, they are getting fewer and fewer as the skinny jeans craze takes hold. It seems as though the general fashion trend has made an about face and tight fitting, body flattering jeans are here to stay. At least until fashion cycles back around yet again.

Pajamas? – They’re My New Plaid Pants!

While general fashion seems to flow in cycles, it also takes on nuances never before seen in the fashion world. At one point plaid skirts and pants were all the rage, but in recent years, plaid pajama bottoms have become a fashion statement all their own! On any given day, it is possible to see an assortment of plaid pajama bottoms dubbing as slacks and no one thinks anything of it.

While grandma and grandpa may raise an eyebrow, or chuckle under their breath, anyone under 40 doesn’t even bat an eyelash. Plaid pants, formerly known as pajama bottoms, are trendy casual wear and can be worn winter or summer, depending on the weight of the fabric.

No one really knows how the style took hold as it certainly wasn’t seen on the runways of Paris, London or New York. However, plaid pajama bottoms have become so fashionable that even stores like the Gap carry an array of them, and certainly not in the nightwear department! Of course, you can always shop for them in lingerie and night wear, no one would be the wiser.

Although many people still wear them around the house, plaid pajama bottoms can be worn for everyday casual attire. As a result, when lounging around the house, if the mood strikes you for a Big Mac or KFC combo, there’s no need to get dressed before going out. Plaid pants are in style, and no one will ever know you’re still in your pajamas!
